I really think you have the distructo beam confused with a George Foreman grill. Granted, the George Foreman can make one hell of a grill cheese sandwich, but I have yet to have any luck erecting anything more destructive than having my sandwiches stick to it.

Have you tried using it like a cheese grater? If you wing it at them pretty fast I'm sure the hinge action will do some damage. The only prob is that it isnt mobile power yet so you cant hit them when its blistering hot unless its close quarters combat in a kitchen.
